Job location: Madrid

Expected travel (after first introductory period):

Initial ramp-up phase will be mainly carried out at Madrid during the first weeks.
Afterwards, every 2 months approx., a 3/4-day trip to Austria, Germany or Switzerland will be needed in order to understand new business requirements.
Additionally, when official software rollouts are required (1-2 times a year) onsite support will be required.

Education and Training:
› University degree or equivalent on technical College or relevant related experience.
› Desirable to have any Java certification. Specially in the fields of:
. Developing Applications for the Java EE 7/8 Platform
. Java EE Design Patterns

Languages:
. Spanish: Native language, otherwise business fluent
. English: Very good Business English required (excellent communication skills).
. German: Desirable but not a must.

Purpose of the function:

. Part of a team of 8 Senior Java developers based in Madrid who will be responsible to maintain, evolve and develop an in-house application with interfaces to SAP modules.

Description of the function:

A passionate Senior Java Developer who thrives the further implementation of our in-house application MKS (Master Key Systems) for the Technical Order Processing and Configuration of our products: door lock systems. The software interfaces closely with our SAP landscape: ERP, CRM, PI... It is a new solution, built for us by an external software company. The initial rollout of the software took place in Austria last year with further rollouts in Europe following over the next 5 years.

Key Responsibilities and tasks:

. Enhance the Score MKS order entry solution (Java) to meet the additional requirements for upcoming rollouts in Switzerland and across Europe.
. Maintain and enhance the TIBCO service bus that connects the MKS System with SAP and other internal systems.
. Take the role of a member in an agile Scrum team using JIRA/Confluence.
. Ensure top notch 3rd level support for your application.
Working Experience:
. Long term Java development experience (min. 7 years).
. Practical experience in these technologies: Spring, Hibernate, Swing, JDBC, JMS, Soap.
. Practical experience with this tools: Maven, SVN, Jenkins, Sonar, JIRA
. Deep knowledge of SQL and specially Microsoft SQL Server.
. Professional working experience with Microsoft Windows
. A broad knowledge of software patterns, OO-design and 3-Tier architecture.
. Experience working in Scrum/Agile teams.
