Job location: Madrid
Expected travel: Initial ramp-up phase will be mainly carried out at Madrid during the first weeks. Afterwards, every 2 months approx., a 3/4-day trip to Austria, Germany or Switzerland will be needed in order to understand new business requirements. Additionally, when official software rollouts are required (1-2 times a year) onsite support will be required.
Education and Training:

Part of a team of 8 Senior Java developers based in Madrid who will be responsible to maintain, evolve and develop an in-house application with interfaces to SAP modules.
Description of the position:
A passionate Senior Java Developer who thrives the further implementation of our in-house application MKS (Master Key Systems) for the Technical Order Processing and Configuration of our products: door lock systems. The software interfaces closely with our SAP landscape: ERP, CRM, PI… It is a new solution, built for us by an external software company. The initial rollout of the software took place in Austria during 2015 & further rollouts in Europe are planned for the next 5 years.
Key Responsibilities and tasks:
. Enhance the MKS platform to meet the additional requirements for upcoming rollouts in Switzerland and across Europe. . Take the role of a member in an agile Scrum team using JIRA/Confluence. . Collaborate with Product Owners to define requirements together . Keep Quality Assurance & Automation practices very present. . Ensure top notch 3rd level support for your application.
Working Experience:
. Long term Java development experience (min. 7 years). . Practical experience in these technologies: Spring, Hibernate, Swing, JDBC, JMS, Soap. . Practical experience with this tools: Maven, SVN/GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA . Deep knowledge of SQL and specially Microsoft SQL Server (2016 Standard Edition currently used). . Professional working experience with Microsoft Windows . A broad knowledge of software patterns, OO-design and 3-Tier architecture. . Experience working in Scrum/Agile teams.
