As an Integration/Validation Engineer of the P&S Delivery Centres for Government solutions, you act as the technical Interface towards internal and external customers throughout the whole project lifecycle in order to ensure testability of the component, rapid feedback to developers and good quality of the resulting product.
Gemalto products and solutions are deployed in more than 200 active programs worldwide with specific expertise in secure document issuance, biometrics, document readers, authentication, ID management and data protection.
A week in the life of an Integration/Validation Engineer:
You validate the products and components (applications, libraries, system and solutions; either purely software or combining software and hardware) and integration in customer environment You define the integration strategy and participate in the acceptance test plan writing You analyse the scope, define a test strategy and prepare the test plan by ensuring the full coverage of functional and technical requirement Execute test campaigns and report the results and detected issues to the development team You document the activity in the form of Validation Strategy and Test Plan You select the tools and/or development of them if non-existing You will cooperate with developers in order to reproduce, identify and isolate the issues You participate in the solution deployment and integration at the customer’s premises and support the acceptance testing
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
To succeed at this job, you must have experience with scripting language for automatic tests, good knowledge of SQL and Database servers. Web technologies and applications servers (HTTP, HTML/XML, Jboss/wildfly, WebSphere, GlassFish), data communication protocols/technologies including HTTP, SSL. Administration of TCP/IP based network, configuration and tuning of application servers (IBM WebSphere, JBoss/wildfly, Tomcat) and Windows 2008 server (AD, DNS). Jenkins, Mercurial, Redmine, Sonar, Fortify, IDEs (Eclipse, Netbeans, MS Visual Studio). It would be preferred if you have Basic knowledge of a programming language (Java, C# or C++). You must be fluent in English. We would like someone to join our team who is customer-oriented, quick learner and self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment, a team-player, analytical and a problem-solver. You must have an Engineering or Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in Validation and Solution Integration. Experience in Software development is appreciated. You must be able to travel for short or medium duration (Travel capabilities for workshops, integration and deployment in customer premises).
